John Meinen, CAMPUS MINISTER

Hi there! My name is John, and I am the campus minister for RUF at UVM. In 2004, I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Upon graduation, I backpacked throughout South/Southeast Asia, spent a year of service with AmeriCorps VISTA in the Bay Area, studied microfinance in Bangladesh, and assisted a non-profit in Uganda and Kenya. Back in the States, I led backpacking trips for Outward Bound, participated in a year-long fellowship program in the DC area, earned a Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (2012), and was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) later that same year.

In 2010, I married a wonderful woman named Megan. Since graduating from Davidson College in 2007, Megan has done some really cool stuff: she spent 35 days in Patagonia mountaineering with NOLS, pursued a Masters in outdoor education at the University of Edinburgh, directed a place-based summer camp at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA, and more! She currently manages the UVM ropes course.

Megan and I are proud parents to Willa (2 y/o daughter) and Coulter (6 y/o silver lab). We love sharing meals with friends, watching anything good on Netflix, and playing outside. We would love to get to know you. If you want to know more about us, RUF, etc., please don't hesitate to contact us via email (john.meinen@ruf.org) or cell (John: 802.922.4202; Megan: 843.384.5284). Friend me on Facebook.

KELSEY RODRIGUEZ, INTERN

Hi everybody! My name is Kelsey, and I am from Hickory, North Carolina. I graduated from Western Carolina University (WCU) which is settled in a small town called Cullowhee, North Carolina. I really enjoy backpacking, cooking, and playing board games with friends. My sophomore year in college, a girl on RUF’s servant team at WCU reached out to me and, over time, helped answer my insecurities and questions about Christianity. It is because of her that I wanted to be an intern. She loved me so well during my time in college. Like her, I want to give back and love the students of UVM well. You can reach me at kelsey.rodriguez@ruf.org and 828.851.5463. Friend me on Facebook.
